Man charged in Lincoln strip club shooting will stand trial

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The man accused of fatally shooting two people at a west Lincoln strip club is headed to trial.
A judge on Wednesday found probable cause to try 32-year-old Christoper Johnson and sent the case to district court.
Johnson is facing two counts of first-degree murder in a shooting at The Office Gentleman’s Club near West Van Dorn and South Folsom Streets.

Police said early in the morning of May 25, Johnson shot Carlos Silva and Terrell Jones outside the club.
The victims were taken to a hospital, where they died.
Johnson fled, according to police, but was arrested three days later after a chase in Omaha.

He faces the possibility of the death penalty if convicted.
His arraignment in Lancaster County District Court is scheduled for Sept. 18.

Court documents allege that Darious Fletcher, 32, was with Johnson during the slayings.
Fletcher is charged with two counts of accessory to first-degree murder.
He is set to appear in Lancaster County Court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
