LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Forget about the sleigh, Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) says Snowplow Santa will be out delivering holiday cheer Saturday, Dec. 19.

Santa will ride in an LTU snowplow along a designated route, waving at residents and making stops at six locations (list below).

“Our City team members understand the many challenges our community faces during the pandemic and wanted to find a way to give back,” said Liz Elliott, LTU Director. “The holidays look different this year due to the pandemic. For adults and children who enjoy the excitement of seeing Santa Claus, this is a free and safe opportunity to get a chance to briefly connect with Saint Nick while social distancing.”

Co-organized with Lincoln City Libraries (LCL) and the Parks and Recreation Department, Snowplow Santa will be available from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
