AG Barr steps down, Rosen to fill in

WASHINGTON (KLKN) — According to recent tweets from President Donald Trump, Attorney General (AG) Bill Barr will be stepping down from his position.

In a letter to the President, Barr said he plans to depart by Dec. 23. Upon his departure, Deputy AG Jeff Rosen will fill in as Acting Attorney General, with Richard Donoghue becoming the new Deputy AG.

In Barr’s letter to the President, he said “I am greatly honored that you called on me to serve your Administration and the American people, once again, as Attorney General. I am proud to have played a role in the many successes and unprecedented achievements you have delivered for the American people.”
