Pilot died in Monday’s second northeast Nebraska plane crash, authorities say
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A pilot was killed in a plane crash in Wayne County, authorities said Tuesday.
The crash happened Monday morning near Wayne, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the pilot died on impact.
Law enforcement is still working to notify his family.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
The crash was the second deadly plane crash in northeast Nebraska on Monday.
Earlier in the morning, a plane went down near Crofton in Knox County.
The pilot, 73-year-old Joseph Rudloff of Norfolk, was pronounced dead at the scene.
