Lincoln man gets prison for having more than 500 child porn files

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was sentenced Thursday for a child porn charge.

Michael Nolte, 38, will spend five years in prison for receipt of child pornography.

In July 2022, he uploaded a child pornography file on a messaging app, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

That December, the FBI searched his home and seized his laptop.

A forensic examination of his laptop revealed 553 photos and five videos of child porn, authorities said.

After prison, Nolte will serve five years on supervised release.
