Lincoln Southeast defense comes up big in win over Lincoln Southwest

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Southeast got the win over Lincoln Southwest on Friday night in a battle of the southside rivals.

It was the defense for the Southeast Knights that stood out on Seacrest Field in Channel 8’s Game of the Week.

Senior Pierre Allen Jr. had an interception and a safety, helping the Knights hold the Silver Hawks to just two field goals.

Running back Cash Buettenback had a pair of rushing touchdowns on the night as well.

Lincoln Southwest now falls to 0-2 on the season, having yet to score a TD through two games.

Meanwhile, the Knights start their year off 2-0 and will look to stay undefeated next Friday night at Creighton Prep.
