Five COVID deaths reported in Lancaster County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Officials with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) report five more COVID deaths for the county, bringing the community total to 133.

The individuals have been identified as two women in their 80s and 90s who were hospitalized, two women in their 80s and 90s who were in long-term care facilities, and a woman in her 40s who had underlying health conditions.

Additionally, 115 new COVID-19 cases were reported, pushing the community total to 20,592.

The county is reporting 6,082 people have recovered from COVID-19, up from 6,018.

LLCHD says 91 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 (54 from Lancaster County). A total of 14 are on ventilators.

The positivity rate in Lancaster County so far this week is 28.4%.
