Game of the Week Preview: Southwest vs East

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Southwest Silverhawks are hoping to secure their first win of the season in a clash with the East Spartans on Thursday night.

East is off to a good start to the season, securing wins against North Platte and Grand Island after losing 38-5 to Elkhorn South in week one.

Southwest is still looking for a number in the win column.  The Silverhawks lost to North Star, Southeast and Papillion-La Vista this season.

A pair of Silverhawks, Griffin Semrad and Cole Erickson, stopped by Channel 8 this morning to preview the matchup with Andrew Ward.

Channel 8 also saw East’s band prepare for the big game under the lights on Thursday.
