Lincoln Police announce agency’s first-ever Pink Patch Project fundraiser

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department is raising money for breast cancer awareness during a fundraiser next month.
In a post on social media, the agency announced its first-ever Pink Patch Project fundraiser, which begins on Tuesday.
The Pink Patch Project’s goal is to raise awareness about the “life-saving benefits of early detection and intervention in the fight against breast cancer.”
People can purchase pink LPD patches for $10 via cash, check or Venmo, police said. The patches can be purchased at all LPD stations.
All proceeds will go to the Heartland Cancer Foundation.
Thank you so much for supporting local cancer patients who are also struggling with financial hardship! https://t.co/f0046cNtQo
