UPDATE: Three people killed in winter storm accident on I-80 near Hershey

HERSHEY, Neb. (KLKN) – Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) report three people, including a small child, were killed in a fatal car crash Wednesday night.
The crash happened around 10:40 a.m. on I-80 around mile marker 167, near the Hershey exit.
A GMC Yukon was moving eastbound when it lost control due to the winter weather conditions. The Yukon hopped the median, entering the westbound lanes, and collided with a semi.
There were a total of five people, including the driver, 24-year-old Edgar Navarro, inside the Yukon.
Edgar and two passengers, 25-year-old Idayalid Bautista and four-year-old Alex Navarro were pronounced dead on the scene. Two additional female passengers, a three-year-old and 11-month-old, were originally taken to a North Platte hospital. They have since been transferred to a hospital in Denver with what they believe to be non-life-threatening conditions.
Edgar is the father of all three children, while Bautista is the mother of the two surviving children. They are all from Westminster, Co.
The semi driver was not injured.

HERSHEY, Neb. (KLKN) – The winter storm that rolled through Nebraska with whiteout conditions have already left three people dead in an accident on Interstate 80 near Hershey.
Nebraska State Patrol says a GMC Yukon was at mile marker 167 headed eastbound when it lost control and crossed over the median going into the westbound lanes. It was then struck by a westbound semi-truck.
Five people were in the Yukon at the time of the crash. A male adult driver and female adult passenger died at the scene along with a juvenile passenger. Two other juveniles were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries.
I-80 was closed for three hours during this incident.
Identities are being withheld pending next of kin.
