Car destroyed in fire at Lincoln gas station
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A car erupted in flames Tuesday at a central Lincoln gas station.
Just before 7 p.m., a woman pulled into the Fast Mart at 33rd and A streets because she smelled something burning, according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue.
She got out, and the car went up in flames, Battalion Chief Bob Watton said.
The driver is OK, but the car was destroyed.
LFR estimated the damage at $10,000 to $12,000.
Watton said he didn’t know of any damage to the gas station.
