Man shot dead in south Omaha; homicide investigation underway

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was killed Saturday morning in a shooting in south Omaha, police say.

Around 6 a.m., officers were sent to 29th and T streets on a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man – who has not been identified – in the street suffering from gunshot wounds, OPD said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call the agency’s homicide unit at 402-444-5656 or Omaha Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
