Highway 36 near Fremont reopened, other roads remain closed

The Nebraska Dept. of Transportation said Monday that Highway 36 into Fremont is open to one-lane.

Traffic is navigating with a pilot car, until conditions improve.

NDOT says that some local and county roads still remain impassable and to use extra caution when driving.

They’re continuing operations to clear the area of debris and make roads passable once again.

If you need to know the condition of the roads before your trip, call 511 or visit 511.nebraska.gov.

The system is available at all times online.

Meanwhile, Hwy 275 between Wisner and Beemer remains closed because of a collapsed part of the road.
