LFR battles south Lincoln house fire

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A home in south Lincoln caught fire Sunday afternoon.
Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to a home near 27th Street and Yankee Hill Road about 2:30 p.m.
A Channel 8 reporter at the scene saw flames coming from the front of the house and from the roof.
Smoke was billowing into the air.
An LFR spokeswoman said firefighters contained the blaze quickly.
Crews discovered that a gas line was leaking and shut it off.
A fire inspector is investigating the cause of the blaze.
