Shot fired into ceiling during party at north Lincoln home, LPD says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating after shots were fired early Saturday morning during a house party in north Lincoln.

Around 1:30 a.m., officers were sent to a home near North 10th and Claremont streets on a report of gunshots.

When officers arrived, a “large group of people” were seen leaving the area, according to LPD.  No victims were found.

During an investigation, officers learned that people at a party began fighting, and a shot was fired into the ceiling, police said.

More shots were fired out of a vehicle after the initial gunshot, according to police.

Officers found a vehicle with a shattered rear window.  A spent shell casing was also discovered inside the home, LPD said.
