Body found in Lincoln identified as missing Lexington man

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A body found in Lincoln has been identified as a missing central Nebraska man, police said Friday.
The Lincoln Police Department responded to the BNSF Hobson Yard off of West O Street on Monday.
A body was discovered there underneath the Highway 77 overpass.
Investigators determined that the body was that of 34-year-old Michael Atkins of Lexington.
He was reported missing to LPD on Sept. 11, police said.
An autopsy was conducted Wednesday.
Police said Atkins’ death does not appear to be suspicious right now, but it is still under investigation.
