Man caught in Nebraska with 13-year-old boy takes plea deal

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to traveling to Nebraska to have sex with a teenage boy.

Tadashi Kojima, 28, took a plea deal in the U.S. District Court of Utah.

Prosecutors dropped a kidnapping charge, and Kojima pleaded guilty to transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Kojima was arrested at a Grand Island gas station in December 2022.

He was caught with a 13-year-old boy who was reported abducted in Utah.

Kojima met the teen on an online gaming platform.

A sentencing date has not been set. Kojima faces 10 years to life in prison.
