Pedestrian hit by pickup truck in west Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Monday morning when they were hit by a vehicle in west Lincoln.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. at 20th and West O streets.
In a post on X, LPD said a 21-year-old woman was hit by a pickup truck while walking in the crosswalk.
She was taken to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The driver involved in the crash, a 30-year-old Lincoln woman, remained at the scene, according to LPD.
She was ticketed on suspicion of negligent driving.
A part of O Street was shut down as officers investigated the crash. It has since been reopened.
UPDATE: 21-year-old female was hit by an EB pickup while crossing in crosswalk. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Her injuries are now no longer considered life-threatening. Driver involved remained at scene. Traffic is still being diverted.
