String of businesses damaged in burglaries in northeast Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a string of burglaries in northeast Lincoln.
On Sunday just before 11:30 p.m., officers were sent to a strip mall on Northern Lights Drive after alarms went off at Active Life Family Chiropractic and Sky High Smoke Shop.
When officers arrived, they found damage to both business doors, but LPD said nothing was taken.
The total damage is estimated to be $200, along with $600 in losses of two alarm panels.
A short time later, officers were called to Cannabis Factory near 48th and Vine streets early Monday morning on the report of a burglary.
Arriving officers said they found a window broken on the east side of the building, along with pry marks outside the window and a chisel lying on the ground.
The total damage is estimated to be $2,000, with $500 in cash taken from the register.
