Portions of three Lincoln streets to close this week

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Lincoln officials announced three upcoming street closures on Monday.

Northbound Cotner Boulevard will close from Vine to X streets on Tuesday for water main repair.

The closure will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department.

Drivers should use 66th Street instead.

Southbound 56th Street will shut down on Tuesday from South Street to Normal Boulevard so the Lincoln Electric System can replace utility poles.

The work is expected to be done by Monday.

LTU encourages drivers to take 48th Street as a detour.

Then on Saturday, 11th Street will close from O to N streets for crane work. The closure is expected to last until Monday.

StarTran routes 13, 27, 40, 44, 49, 51, 52 and 53 will be affected, the city said.

Buses on those routes will stop at the northwest corner of 11th and L streets.
