Pregnant horse fatally shot outside of McCook; family offering $7,500 reward

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Red Willow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal shooting of a horse near McCook.

Sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning, a 14-year-old pregnant horse was fatally shot near Road 715 and east of Road 384.

The family, with the help of a private donor, is offering a $7,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the shooter, according to the sheriff’s office.
