One injured in ‘serious crash’ south of Lincoln, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office responded to a “serious crash” south of Lincoln on Thursday.

The crash happened around 12:40 p.m. near Southwest 14th Street and Highway 33.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said a 73-year-old Lincoln man driving a red pickup blew threw a stop sign and hit a 22-year-old man from Crete.

The driver of the pickup was taken to the Hospital with minor injuries.

The 22-year-old man refused medical treatment on scene, according to Houchin.

The owner of a nearby business said there have been several crashes in that intersection over the years.
