Nebraska takes down No. 15 UCLA, extends home winning streak to 20

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska basketball team got a massive win at home Saturday afternoon, beating No. 15 UCLA 66-58 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The Huskers played strong defense, holding the Bruins to a 38.6% field goal percentage, with a 14.3% mark from deep. Nebraska also only allowed two second chance points.

Nebraska shot 32.7% from the floor and 28% from deep. The Huskers outrebounded the Bruins 39 to 34.

Brice Williams struggled from the floor, but led the Huskers in points with 16 thanks to an 11-for-12 performance from the free throw line.

As a team, Nebraska shot 25-for-29 from the free throw line.

Andrew Morgan tallied 12 points for the Huskers, while Rollie Worster had 11 and Juwan Gary had 10.

Berke Buyuktuncel led the team in rebounds with nine, and Connor Essegian tallied a team-high three assists.

Tyler Bilodeau led the Bruins with 15 points and five rebounds. Kobe Johnson led the team in boards with 11.

Nebraska will head to Iowa City to matchup with the Hawkeyes on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed live on Peacock.
