Beatrice man killed in crash west of Tecumseh

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Beatrice man died in a crash Monday in southeast Nebraska.

A semitrailer and a pickup truck collided about 4:20 p.m. on Highway 136 west of Tecumseh, according to the Johnson County Attorney’s Office.

First responders found the driver of the pickup, 42-year-old Troy Schwartz, dead at the scene.

Authorities said the driver of the semi — a 34-year-old Florida man — and his passenger were not hurt.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol are investigating the crash.
