Man injured when ejected from vehicle in rural Gage County crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was injured after being ejected from a vehicle in a crash last week in rural Gage County, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday.
The crash happened on Jan. 4 around 4:45 p.m. near Highway 41 and South 12th Road, just south of Cortland.
The sheriff’s office said a van, driven by a 39-year-old man from Kansas, swerved off Highway 41.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a hospital in Lincoln. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
Investigators think the man was traveling “too fast” for the road conditions at the time of the crash. They also suspect that the driver was not wearing a seat belt.
An investigation is ongoing.
