Four arrested on drug and child abuse charges in York

LINCOLN, Neb. — Four people were arrested Monday night after a drug bust in York.

Deputies with the York County Sheriff’s Office and officers with York Police Department were executing a search warrant at a home on the southwest edge of the city.

They found methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications, drug paraphernalia and several knives, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.

A child was sleeping in the home, which the sheriff’s office said was “not suitable” for them.

The minor was placed in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.

Ashley Bogenhagen, 33, was arrested on suspicion of nine charges, including possession of a controlled substance, child abuse, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and being a habitual criminal.

Benjamin Walker, 43; Bobbi Jo Potter, 34; and Darrell Potter Jr., 38, each face four charges: child abuse, possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
