Lincoln teen charged with sexual assaults in 2022, 2024

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln teen was charged Tuesday with raping two teenage females.

Alex Nguyen, 18, faces two counts of first-degree sexual assault.

Court documents allege that he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl between February and April 2022. Nguyen was also 16 at the time.

The girl reported the assault in September 2022, according to an arrest affidavit.

Then last December, an 18-year-old woman told police that she was raped by Nguyen.

Police said he assaulted her twice at his home near Northwest 27th and West Q streets in the Capitol Beach area.

Nguyen was arrested on Friday.

On Tuesday, a judge set his bond at $600,000. He must pay $60,000 to be released from jail.

His next court appearance is set for Feb. 27.
