LPD: 16-year-old accused of stealing gun arrested at north Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several authorities assisted in an arrest Thursday morning as part of an investigation into a stolen gun in north Lincoln.

Around 9:45 a.m., the LPD Gang Unit, the Metro Fugitive Task Force and the Narcotics Task Force arrested a 16-year-old boy at a home near 40th and Vine streets.

Police said officers learned the teen had a stolen firearm, which was recovered.

The teen will be referred and lodged on “multiple charges,” according to police.

Two other people were detained but not arrested.

Police said more information will be released at a later date.
