Brice Williams, Huskers down Ohio State to win fourth-straight game

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Nebraska men’s basketball team won its fourth-straight game on Sunday, downing Ohio State 79-71 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
After being down 39-34 at halftime, the Huskers outscored the Buckeyes 45-32 in the second half to lock down the win.
Nebraska had a solid shooting performance from the floor, shooting 52% compared to Ohio State’s 43%.
The Huskers also went 18-for-21 from the free throw line, hitting at an 86% mark.
Nebraska led Ohio State in a slew of statistical categories, including out-rebounding the Buckeyes 37 to 28.
The Huskers also dominated in the paint, having 40 points in the paint compared to the Buckeyes’ 26.
Brice Williams was a workhorse for the Huskers, leading the team in points (24), rebounds (10) and assists (4).
Juwan Gary also had a solid game on the stat sheet, scoring 19 points and grabbing five boards. Berke Buyuktuncel had 15 points.
The Buckeyes were led by Micah Parrish’s 30 points, followed by a 21-point outing from freshman John Mobley Jr.
Evan Mahaffey led Ohio State in rebounds with five, while Bruce Thornton dished out a team-high five assists.
Nebraska will look to continue its hot streak as they welcome No. 18 Maryland to town on Thursday.
That game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
