Several snow chances for the week ahead
We’re watching a couple different snowfall chances early in the week ahead. There’s a light snow chance Monday evening, then another chance late Tuesday into Wednesday.
What happens with the first snow on Monday will play a part in what happens late Tuesday into Wednesday. See the video below for that explanation!
Snowfall totals do not look significant through early Tuesday, but those small snowfall events can still mess with your travel plans. Keep an eye on that!
Highs on Monday will range from the teens to the north to the upper 30s to the south. Lincoln will be in the middle 30s.
After Monday, we look towards the next chance for snow late Tuesday into Wednesday. There are already Winter Storm Watches in place for heavy snow in Kansas and SE Nebraska. Nebraska will be on the northern edge of this storm, so lower snowfall totals are expected. But we may still see more watches, warnings, or advisories if it looks necessary. Just something else to keep an eye on this week!
Weather models are already showing the heavier snow potential across Kansas, but Nebraska is close to that. Any slight movement north of the storm track and Nebraska would see more snow.
After the snow chance Wednesday, we quiet down for a day, then see more snow chances Friday into Saturday. We’ll have more on those after the snow chances the first half of the week.
