LPD searching for suspect who stole vehicle from north Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln Police Department is searching for a suspect who stole a vehicle in north Lincoln early Monday morning.

Just after 3 a.m., officers were called to a house near 10th and Knox streets after a 2014 white Kia Rio was stolen out of the driveway.

LPD said the car was left unlocked, but the keys were not inside the car.

Around 4:15 a.m., officers found the vehicle about a mile away near Fourth Street and Nance Avenue. LPD said the driver fled when they saw the police.

According to police, the vehicle was eventually recovered in a parking lot near 25th and T streets, but no suspects were found.
