Man serving time for fourth DUI dies at RTC in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An inmate died Thursday at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln.
Donald Wakefield, 54, was serving seven to 10 years out of Sarpy County for his fourth DUI. He started his sentence in July 2023.
While the cause of death has yet to be determined, Wakefield was being treated for a medical condition.
Whenever an inmate dies, a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
