LINCOLN Neb. (KLKN) – LaunchLNK announced six grant recipients for 2025 on Friday.

LaunchLNK is a program of the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development.

Every year, it awards $20,000 to high-growth startup companies established or expanding in Lincoln.

This year, 65 businesses submitted applications. They each went through a two-round selection process, and the ones chosen stood out above the rest.

The six startup companies that were awarded this year are:

  • Set Your Sites
  • Short Answer
  • FuturHerd Solutions
  • Build Más
  • Bullseye GX Inc.
  • Landoption

The winning companies are also provided with resources and referrals to help grow their companies further.

Bullseye GX Inc. is an animal health company that provides genetic health services and consultation for the beef and dairy industry.

Dustin Petrik, co-founder of Bullseye, applied for the grant without thinking his business would win.

“We are very fortunate that the city of Lincoln is committed to small startup companies,” Petrik said.

The company hopes to use the grant to develop software tools that farmers can use to test for genetic diseases.

The next round of applications for LaunchLNK will open in fall 2025.
