Arson at north Lincoln apartment building caused $900 in damage, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating an arson at a north Lincoln apartment building on Friday.
Just after 11:30 a.m., a fire started in the stairwell of an apartment building near North 46th Street and St. Paul Avenue.
Police said the fire burned the carpet and filled the stairwell with smoke.
The fire eventually died out on its own but caused about $900 in damage, according to LPD.
Investigators noted an arson, which caused about $1,200 in damage, was reported in the same area on Feb. 7.
