I-80 reopened across Nebraska after winter storm

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Interstate 80 across Nebraska was reopened Wednesday after a winter storm shut it down for several hours.
At around 11:20 a.m. the Nebraska Department of Transportation said I-80 was entirely reopened.
Officials ask that drivers continue to use “extreme caution” as roads are icy and snow-packed.
I-80 was shut down between Grand Island and La Vista late Tuesday night due to the winter storm.

Multiple crashes were reported on I-80 earlier Tuesday.
A semitrailer fell onto its side near Kearney, blocking both eastbound lanes.
NDOT said the crash has been cleared.
Then another crash happened north of Giltner, which is just east of Grand Island.
It wasn’t clear what the crash entailed, but a picture from NDOT showed a long line of semis backed up.
