And we would love to see video of any storm footage you may get (safely!). You can upload that using our Now Local News App HERE.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing and duration. The window of opportunity for severe storms is around 3-7pm Friday.
There is a chance for some large hail, especially in the yellow shaded areas.
Damaging wind will also be a concern. Especially where you see the black hash marks where there is a 10% or greater probability of wind gusts 75 mph or greater.
The tornado threat is small for Nebraska, but you don’t have to go too far east to get a chance for one.
On the plus side, we may get some much needed moisture out of all this.
We might even get some snow!
The wind will be an issue as Friday wears on, too. High Wind Warnings and Watches are in place.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for wind gusts through Friday into the weekend.
We cool down for Saturday, but warm back up for Sunday and especially St. Patrick’s Day!
