Two Lincoln men taken to hospital after fight near downtown

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two Lincoln men were taken to a hospital Wednesday night after a fight just south of downtown Lincoln.

Just after 9:30 p.m., officers were sent to 12th and E streets on the report of an assault.

When they arrived, two men were lying in the street bleeding, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

A witness showed officers video of a 46-year-old man and 39-year-old man swinging at each other in the street.

According to police, one of the punches caused the 39-year-old man to fall to the ground.

Then police said a man and woman ran over to the 46-year-old man and started punching and kicking him.

Both men were taken toa hospital with head and facial injuries.

Police are still looking for the man and woman involved, and no arrests have been made.

Charges are pending, according to police.
