Star City Pride calling for volunteers for Lincoln festival

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Star City Pride is asking for 150 volunteers to help make this year’s festival come to life.
Help is needed for setup, admission, cleanup and everything in between.
Star City Pride is an entirely volunteer-run organization.
“We could not have Pride if not for the people in our community who volunteer and ensure that we have a welcoming, wonderful festival,” board President Andrew Dominguez Farias said.
Around 3,000 people are expected to attend the festival on June 13 at Woods Park and the block party June 14 in front of Das Haus.
There will also be a parade around the Capitol on the morning of June 14.
“Lincolnites are able to come out and be true to themselves and also really be able to build community amongst one another,” Dominguez Farias said.
