Nebraska man dies after crash with semi in rural Cedar County

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was killed Thursday night in a crash with a semitrailer in rural northeast Nebraska.
The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 8:50 p.m. on a highway near Laurel.
A vehicle, driven by 70-year-old Charles Potosnyak of Coleridge, failed to yield when making a left turn onto Highway 59.
The vehicle was then hit by a semi, according to the sheriff’s office.
Potosnyak was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
