Woman arrested in stabbing at York home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Friday in a stabbing at a home in York, police say.

Just after 10 p.m., the York Police Department received a report of a stabbing at a home near North Linden Avenue and East 20th Street.

An officer was flagged down by a witness who saw the stabbing before leaving the home, according to police.

Officers entered the home and found a victim lying on the floor with a stab wound, police said.

Nicole Gurley, 41, was taken into custody at the scene.

First responders took the victim to the York General Hospital.  The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Gurley was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
