Heat sticks around for a couple more days
It’s been summer-like around here lately and that will continue into Tuesday. Highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees.
The day will start a little above average, but it won’t take long to heat up. We’ll be into the 80s by noon.
One more hot day is headed our way for Wednesday, but a cold front is going to push through giving us a rain chance as well as cooler air for Thursday.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, duration, and location of the storm chance Wednesday evening.
The Storm Prediction Center has much of eastern Nebraska in a a Level 2 “Slight Risk” for much of north central and NE Nebraska with a level 1 “Marginal Risk” surrounding it. Storms are most likely along and north of I80, especially in the yellow shaded area Wednesday late afternoon into the night time. Hail, damaging wind, and isolated tornadoes a possibility.
After the storm chance Wednesday, we have to wait until Sunday into early next week for the next rain chance.
