Hot with some storm chances Wednesday night
Wednesday will mainly be sunny and hot for most of south central and eastern Nebraska. There is a storm chance, but that holds off until after dark.
There is a Marginal to Slight Risk (level 1-2) for severe weather Wednesday evening. Mainly north of I-80.
Below is what our StormCast weather model is showing for timing, duration, and location of the storms Wednesday evening.
The risk for any tornadoes is low, but not zero. If one develops, it would likely be in the green shaded area below.
Large hail is also a possibility, with the higher risk in the yellow shaded area.
Damaging wind will also be a threat to keep an eye on.
Some much needed rainfall is also possible. If we can avoid the severe weather, this would be a beneficial storm!
