‘Important to everyone that works here’: Lincoln bakeries donate proceeds during Pride Month

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Butterfly Bakery and Sunflower House Cookies are donating 10% of all earnings during the month of June to celebrate Pride Month.

“It’s just important to us during the month of June to contribute in a real way that makes an impact,” said Stacy Tamerius, owner of Butterfly Bakery.

The donations are going to OutNebraska, a nonprofit organization that fights for civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community.

OutNebraska offers a variety of services, which you can check out here.

This is the second year in a row that the bakeries have donated during the month of June.

The shop has been decorated head to toe with flags showing off the Pride Month spirit.

“It’s something that’s important to everyone that works here,” said Tamerius.

The bakeries are located at 4209 S. 33rd St. in the shopping pavilion.
