Lincoln man scheduled meetup with officer posing as 15-year-old girl, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was arrested Thursday after police say he tried to meet up with a 15-year-old girl.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, an investigator working undercover — posing as a 15-year-old girl — received a message from 31-year-old Mikal Wittler.

Police said Wittler talked about dating the teen and having sexual contact with her and also sent explicit phots of himself to the account.

Wittler agreed to meet up with the girl in the parking lot of a local business, according to police.

Instead, LPD greeted him with handcuffs, and he was taken to the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of child enticement.
