LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Just two months before the upcoming Husker football season, new numbers show fans from across the country are ready.

According to Nebraska’s deputy athletic director of revenue, 92 of 93 counties across the state have season ticket holders. The only not one included is Keya Paha.

Tallie Gaspar, a season ticket holder since 1998, isn’t exactly shocked to hear these numbers.

“I wasn’t surprised about the counties, but I was surprised about the states,” she said. “Husker fans are all over the place. We love husker football.”

Despite ups and downs in the program, attendance at Nebraska football games has held steady, with the sellout streak extending past 400.

In 2024, the Huskers averaged 86,900 people per game, down just slightly from the five-year average of 87,599, according to the website D1 Ticker.

With the hype surrounding this year’s team, Gaspar feels Nebraska is on the right path and fans will show up in force.

“The Husker fan base is tried and true,” she said. “We bleed red. It’s our whole identity. We’re really excited about what’s going to happen in the future. We’re looking forward to the next year.”
