LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Beatrice Rural Fire Department battled a grass fire Friday afternoon.
Just after 1:20 p.m., a deputy with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office drove by a fire that was just starting near Highway 4 and Southwest 89th Road.
The sheriff’s office said the fire near Homestead National Historical Park was quickly contained and extinguished.
There is no word on what started the fire.
The Beatrice Rural Fire Department was assisted by the Beatrice Fire Department.
