Woman arrested after shooting in central Lincoln gas station, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Wednesday after shooting a man in a central Lincoln gas station last week, police say.
Lucretia Bryson, 37, was lodged at the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of several felonies, including second-degree assault and robbery.
The shooting happened Friday around 2:15 a.m. at the NP Mart near 28th and O streets.
Officers found a 39-year-old Lincoln man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot, and he was taken to a hospital to be treated for the serious injury, police said.
During an investigation, officers learned the man was shot behind the convenience store, where officers found a 9 mm shell casing.
Surveillance video showed a GMC Terrain approach the victim and a single muzzle flash was seen, according to LPD.
On Tuesday, investigators found Bryson and the SUV in the driveway of a home near 19th and South streets.
Just after midnight on Wednesday, LPD’s SWAT team served a search warrant at the home.
Bryson ran inside an attached garage before being taken into custody. Officers found a fully loaded 9 mm handgun in the garage, which matched the ammo at the shooting scene, LPD said.
A second fully loaded 9 mm handgun was found under the passenger seat of the vehicle, according to police.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
