SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect until 1:00 a.m. for the portions of central and eastern Nebraska. Storms are expected to progress to the south and east this evening, bringing large hail and damaging winds.

The Storm Prediction Center has a portion of north/northwest Nebraska under an Enhanced Risk of severe weather (Level 3 out of 5). There is an isolated tornado threat for northwestern Nebraska, but chances for large hail and damaging winds will be more widespread. Northern portions of the state could see wind gusts upwards of 75 mph.
