Repeat offender sentenced again for indecent exposure in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A repeat offender was sentenced in Lincoln on Friday for two more indecent exposure cases.
In one case, 27-year-old Michael Dixon got six months in jail for indecent exposure and three months for disturbing the peace. He will serve those sentences at the same time.
Dixon received the same terms for the same charges in the other case, though those sentences will be served consecutively.

He faces up to 15 months in jail but could be out much sooner.
That’s because in one of the cases, Judge Timothy Phillips gave the Lancaster County Jail discretion to award credit for time served.
In one of Dixon’s previous cases, he was released the same day he was sentenced.
The two cases that came to an end Friday started last year.
The first incident happened in July 2024, but court documents don’t say what exactly happened.
Then in September, Dixon reached down into his pants and fondled himself at a park in front of a woman and her children.
Another witness told police he also exposed his genitals.

Court records say Dixon has a long history of such behavior.
In 2021, he exposed himself at Gateway Mall and assaulted one of the responding officers.
He was convicted of three misdemeanors: third-degree assault on an officer, negligent child abuse with no injury and obstructing a peace officer.
In 2023, Dixon was found guilty of indecent exposure in Douglas County and sentenced to time served.
Then in February 2024, he masturbated in the triage area of Bryan West Medical Center. Once again, he was sentenced to time served.
Court documents say that was a busy month for Dixon.
He also stole a car and bit a police officer on the leg, according to an arrest affidavit.

His charges were reduced under a plea deal, and he was sentenced to 180 days in jail.
But because the judge allowed the jail to give Dixon credit for time served, he was let out the same day.
