LPD: Four teens beat, rob Lyft driver in northeast Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Four teenagers robbed a Lyft driver late Saturday night, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Just before midnight, a 43-year-old Lincoln man was scheduled to pick up a rider at a business near 84th Street and Market Drive.

According to police, he was only supposed to pick up one person, but the driver said four teenagers got in the car.

LPD said one of the teens took an envelope of cash and the driver’s cellphone.

When the driver confronted the teens, they punched him multiple times in the arms and back of the head, according to LPD.

The driver was able to get his cellphone back before the teens took off running.

Police didn’t report any injuries to the driver.
